Create your account
Getting started takes about 5 minutes. Here's what you'll set up during signup.

Your profile
Add your business name, suburb or area, a profile photo, and a short bio. This is what customers see when they find your booking page.

Your services
Add the services you offer (e.g. Full Detail, Interior Only, Wash & Wax). For each service, add pricing per car size — you write the size names yourself, so use whatever makes sense for your business.

Add-ons (optional)
Add optional extras customers can bolt on to their booking — things like engine bay clean, ceramic coating, or odour treatment. You can set a fixed price or mark them as POA (price on application).

Payment model
Choose how you want customers to pay — full payment upfront via Stripe, or a deposit with the remaining balance paid on the day.

Your setup
Let customers know if you're mobile (you go to them), drop-off (they come to you), or both. Also tick whether you bring your own water and power supply — customers will be informed on your booking page.

Availability
Set which days you work and your start/end times. You can always update this later in your dashboard settings.
STEP 02
Set up your services
Your services are what customers book. Make them clear and well-priced.
Add photos
Upload up to 5 photos per service and add-on. Good photos of your work make a huge difference — customers are far more likely to book when they can see the quality.
Custom car sizes
You write your own size names — "Small Hatch", "Large SUV", "Ute" — whatever makes sense for your pricing. Set a different price and duration for each size.
Add-ons
Add optional extras customers can choose at booking. Use POA for services where you need to assess the job first before quoting.
Set durations
Always set accurate durations for each service and add-on. This prevents double bookings — the system blocks time slots based on your job duration plus your buffer time.
Pro tip: Add a description to each service explaining what's included. Customers love knowing exactly what they're getting — it reduces questions and builds trust.
STEP 03
Manage your availability
Your calendar, working hours, and breaks are all managed from your dashboard.

Working hours
Set your working hours per day in Settings. Customers can only book during your available hours — slots that would finish after your end time are automatically blocked.

Buffer time
Set a buffer between bookings so you have time to travel, pack up, or take a break. We'll automatically block that time after each job.

Adding breaks
Going on holiday or need time off? Click any day on your dashboard calendar to mark it as a break. Customers will see that day as unavailable. Click again to remove it.
STEP 04
Connect Stripe to get paid
All payments go through Stripe — the world's most trusted payment platform. You need to connect your Stripe account to receive payouts.

Go to Settings → Stripe payouts
In your dashboard, click the Settings tab and scroll to the Stripe payouts section. Click "Connect Stripe account".

Complete Stripe onboarding
You'll be taken to Stripe's secure onboarding flow. Have these ready: your ABN, bank account BSB + account number, and a form of ID (driver's licence or passport).
⏱️ Takes about 2–5 minutes to complete.

You're connected!
Once connected, your dashboard will show your Stripe status as active. All future payouts will go directly to your bank account — you don't need to do anything.
⚠️ Important: You won't receive any payouts until your Stripe account is connected and verified. Set this up before sharing your booking link.
STEP 05
Managing your bookings
Once you're live, bookings will start coming in. Here's how to handle them.
Confirm a booking
New bookings come in as "pending". Click the booking in your dashboard and hit "Mark as confirmed" to let the customer know you're locked in.
Mark as completed
Once the job is done, mark it as completed in your dashboard. This triggers your payout — you'll receive the money within 1 hour.
Request reschedule
Had an emergency? Click "Request reschedule" on a booking, provide a reason, and the customer will get an email with a link to pick a new time. No cancellation, no refund needed.
Cancel a booking
If you must cancel, the customer receives a full refund including all fees. Be mindful — 3 cancellations in 7 days results in a 5-day account suspension.
Your booking link: Once set up, go to your dashboard Overview tab to find and copy your unique booking link. Share it on Instagram, WhatsApp, or wherever your customers are.

How payouts work
You get paid automatically — no chasing invoices, no manual transfers.

Customer pays at booking
When a customer books, their payment is collected securely via Stripe and held by DU Bookings until the job is complete.

Mark job as completed
Once you've finished the detail, mark the booking as completed in your dashboard. This starts the payout process.

Money hits your account within 1 hour
Our automated system transfers your earnings directly to your connected Stripe account within 1 hour of job completion. Funds typically appear in your bank account within 1–2 business days.
Full payment
Customer pays 100% at booking via Stripe. You receive your full quoted service price — fees are added on top for the customer, so you always get what you charge.
Deposit
Customer pays a deposit via Stripe at booking. The remaining balance is paid directly to you on the day via your chosen methods — cash, PayID, bank transfer etc.
STEP 07
Policies to know
These protect both you and your customers. Please read carefully.
Customer cancels more than 24hrs before: Full refund issued minus Stripe and platform fees. These fees are non-refundable.
Customer cancels within 24hrs: 80% refund issued minus fees. You receive 20% of the booking value for your time.
No show: If the customer doesn't show up, you'll receive an email 1 hour after the scheduled job end time asking you to confirm. You have 2 hours to respond — if you don't, it's confirmed automatically and you get paid in full.
You cancel a booking: Customer receives a full refund including all fees. Repeated cancellations result in warnings and account suspension.
Cancellation strikes: 1st = warning email. 2nd = final warning. 3rd cancellation within 7 days = 5-day account suspension. Your booking page will be hidden during suspension.

Common questions
Quick answers to things detailers ask us most.
How long does Stripe setup take?
Usually 2–5 minutes. You'll need your ABN, bank BSB and account number, and a form of ID. Stripe's onboarding is straightforward and guides you through each step.
When exactly do I get paid?
Within 1 hour of marking a booking as completed. Our automated system runs every 30 minutes and processes all completed jobs. Funds then take 1–2 business days to appear in your bank account.
What if I use deposit payments — when do I get the deposit?
The deposit is transferred to your Stripe account within 1 hour after you mark the job complete. The remaining balance is paid directly to you on the day by the customer via your chosen methods (cash, PayID, bank transfer etc.).
Can I change my payment model later?
Yes — go to Settings in your dashboard and update your payment model anytime. Changes apply to new bookings only. Existing bookings keep their original payment terms.
What happens if a customer doesn't show up?
You'll receive an email 1 hour after the scheduled job finish asking you to confirm the no show. You can also mark it directly from your dashboard. Once confirmed, you receive the full payment. No show = no refund for the customer.
How do I share my booking page?
Go to your dashboard Overview tab — your unique booking link is shown there. Copy it and share it anywhere — Instagram bio, WhatsApp, Google Business, wherever your customers find you.
Do I need to bring my own water and power?
That's up to you! During signup and in Settings, you can toggle whether you bring your own water and power supply. If you don't, we'll automatically notify customers on your booking page so they can prepare access to a tap and power outlet.
Is DU Bookings free to use?
Yes — there are no monthly fees or subscriptions. DU Bookings takes a small platform fee (3% for full payments, 6% for deposits) only when you earn. The fee is added on top of your service price and paid by the customer, so you always receive your full quoted amount.
When will I receive my first Stripe payout?
Your first payout from Stripe typically takes 1–10 business days after your first completed job. This is normal — Stripe takes extra time to verify and calibrate new bank accounts. After your first payout, all future payments arrive within 1–2 business days of the transfer being made.
How do I access my Stripe account?
Go to dashboard.stripe.com and log in with the email you used during Stripe onboarding. You can also download the Stripe Dashboard app on iOS or Android to view your balance, payout history, and bank details from your phone. There's also a "View Stripe →" button directly in your DU Bookings dashboard settings once connected.
What does connecting Stripe allow me to do?
Connecting Stripe to DU Bookings allows you to securely receive payouts from customer bookings. All payments are collected by DU Bookings and automatically transferred to your connected Stripe account within 1 hour of marking a job as completed. Stripe then pays out to your bank account on its standard schedule.
